How to use it

Use actual spending or realistic estimates. Add occasional costs to the annual field only if they are not already included in a monthly category. The savings reserve is an allocation, not a care expense.

For example, $300 monthly premiums + $50 visits + $80 prescriptions + $600 annual extras produces $480 monthly care spending and $5,760 annual spending. A separate $50 monthly reserve brings the monthly allocation to $530.
